The NAWMP website was an interesting challenge due to the complex nature of working with government project requirements.
I worked on this project with the talented folks at the Bytown Group. We were tasked to build an updated website for the Canadian branch of NAWMP, an international agreement to help protect waterfowl and migratory birds. We designed a number of elements and pages to best showcase the organization's goals and accomplishments.
My UI designs had to be functional in browsers as old as Internet Explorer 7.
Designing with this restriction in mind was an interesting challenge due to customer desire for elements such as an interactive timeline, sliders and custom fonts. Nonetheless, I employed a number of polyfills and progressive enhancements to make sure the site worked.
